April Lewis serves as the Atlanta Chapter Webmaster and Director of Community Outreach. In the Webmaster position, she is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining the current Atlanta Chapter web site. Ms. Lewis has a passion for design and development in the IT arena, as well as a passion to serve. Under her leadership, the Community Outreach committee was developed to reach out and establish relationships and opportunities to bring IT to our local community.
Ms Lewis has over 20 years of Information Technology and professional experience. She has worked in various industries as a Programmer, DBA, Architect, and Development Lead. Ms. Lewis join Young Consulting in 2008 as a Software Engineer. In addition, she is a freelance Web Designer and Developer.
In addition to her professional life Ms. Lewis finds time to volunteer extensively. Ms. Lewis a regular volunteer with the Sickle Cell Foundation of Atlanta and Habitat for Humanity. When not volunteering, she is applying her creative skills to interior design and landscaping projects.
Ms. Lewis holds a MS in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix, a Bachelor of Science in Technology Management from Denver Technical College and a diploma in Interactive Media and Design from the Art Institute.
